The exhibition looks back at 100 years of the Jura-based company Smoby, founded in 1924 in Lavans-les-Saint-Claude under the name Moquin-Breuil. It initially specialized in the production of wooden pipes before moving into plastics. Today, Smoby Toys is a leading toy manufacturer.
The first room presents objects from the company's origins made of wood, bone, ivory (pipes, pens, jewelry), plastic toys for Bonux barrels and a chronological frieze retracing major events.
The second room presents imitation games from different eras (shop, kitchen, DIY workbench) and the last room presents prototypes, the evolution of a carrier and memorable toys.
