House of 3 woods - Gîte Chez Nicolas

Welcome to the " House of 3 Woods – Chez Nicolas cottage ", to Mountain Boards, at the heart of Jura mountains.

Ce ecological lodge is located in a large 19th century house, in the center of the village.

The house, made up of 3 apartments, is organized as shared accommodation: the recently renovated “Chez Nicolas” gîte, a permanent residential apartment and the small “Les Petits Bois” gîte, also renovated but more simply.

It is possible to rent both gîtes simultaneously, allowing up to 12 people to be accommodated.

Enjoy a charm of the old and big spaces offered by a ecological renovation (lime plaster, wood, ceramic, etc.).

The atmosphere is warm, bright, and the volumes are pleasant:

• On the ground floor: an entrance hall, a large living room (kitchen – dining room – lounge), a lounge/bedroom with an extra bed (sofa bed, room closed with a curtain), the bathroom (shower, bathtub), and the WC.
• On the 1st floor: mezzanine, the green bedroom (1 double bed 160), the red bedroom (1 double bed 140, 1 single bed 1).
• Cellar with washing machine, secure bike/ski area Regularly inhabited by the owner, you will feel comfortable in a lively apartment: library with many books and comics, board games, games for children, first ingredients for cooking (oils, vinegars, tea, coffee, spices, etc.).

The gîte “Chez Nicolas” is ideally located in the heart of the Jura Mountains, and the village of Planches en Montagne allows you to discover a multitude of magnificent sites on site or nearby:

• Around the water: the famous gorges and waterfalls of Langouette (in the village), the Hérisson waterfalls and the 4 lakes (Ilay, Maclus, Narlay) 15 minutes away, the source of the Doubs and the Ain (20 minutes), the losses of the Ain (10 minutes), the lake of Chalain or St Point 30-40 minutes away, numerous peat bogs nearby and many more...
• Around the mountain: numerous hikes providing access to unspoiled nature on site or nearby (belvederes, peaks offering breathtaking views of the Alps, legendary forests, etc.)
• The proximity of the Jura vineyards and its pretty villages (30 minutes away)...
• Nordic sites and downhill ski resorts (the closest is a 10-minute drive, but 6 other Nordic sites are accessible within 30 minutes).
