The major Franco-Swiss hiking route of the Échappée Jurassienne allows you to cross, on foot, the Jura massif from West to East, avoiding borders.

This hiking tour takes in the largest sites of the French-Swiss Jura.

Its 352 km of marked GR® hiking trails (59, 559 and 509 and 5) are a true summary of what the cross-border Jura massif has that is most emblematic and exceptional to offer!

A long itinerant hike and two “arrival towns” L'Échappée Jurassienne connects the town of Art and History of Dole in the Jura plain to the Station des Rousses in the heights of the cross-border Jura massif.

At the Station des Rousses, hikers can choose to take the Original route to cross Haut-Jura and arrive at Saint-Claude while remaining exclusively in France or to follow the Swiss route to reach Nyon on the shores of Lake Geneva in passing through the summit of La Dôle and thus hiking in Switzerland for 45km.

L'Échappée Jurassienne, the itinerary of all possibilities Ideal for starting touring hikes.

L'Échappée Jurassienne offers flexible daily stages, accessible altitude differences and difficulties, the possibility of completing only part of the route in 3, 5, 10 or 15 days, a selection of more than 180 accommodations, a dedicated TopoGuides® and a luggage transport service.
