Fort-du-Plasne Lake

The route goes back to the village (yellow marking) via Principale Street, exceeds the Round Fountain, and reached the last house.

  1. The white, well-stoned path on the right heads towards Lake Fort-du-Plasne (its level varies quickly depending on precipitation), bordered by its peat bogs and reaches The Voigneurs.
  2. We follow the road to the right then a steep path up to the crest, to the post The Horn.In the pasture, go down on your right to pass a fence and follow a white path. Continue along the fence on your right. After passing a second watering hole, the path climbs up the ridges then crosses a large pasture towards the forest and a road suitable for vehicles. Continue the route through the forest until The Crêt.
  3. After crossing the road, the wide forest path opens into a large clearing and continues untilat the Well (Canadian passage).
  4. The path turns sharply to the right towards Fort-du-Plasne.
  5. Go beyond a 100m fence and, alongside, the stony path on the right runs alongside a small wall, then turns to the left. After crossing a meadow then forest area, you reach by going down easily FORT-DU-PLASNE.Toilet

This route crosses pastures with livestock, and takes forest paths. Also for the respect of the owners and operators who authorize you to pass, for the peace of livestock and wildlife, you are invited to stay on the marked trails.

Use the passages provided to cross the fences and make sure to close the barriers. Please keep your dog on a leash if you have one.

Wildflowers are beautiful, they can be rare and protected and often wilt quickly. Don't pick them! They will delight future hikers.

In the event of forestry work (felling, skidding, etc.), for your safety, know how to give up and turn around.
