Maison du Comté, a fabulous sensory journey !

In Poligny, the remarkable architecture of the County House revisits, in a contemporary style, the traditional buildings of Haut-Doubs farms and Upper Jura. Its three distinct buildings, visible from the Route de Lons, echo the three links in this solidarity sector: milk producers, cheesemakers and refiners, united in the heart of the Jura massif for 700 years!

The new Polinois interpretation center offers a superb immersive journey to the country of the County, deliciously summoning the five senses of the whole family. Poetic films, confidential videos from actors, discovery of the key gestures of the Comté, sensory games and even some pretty nuggets for history buffs... A unique experience to share together, and as a family, the taste of the Comté.

In the very special atmosphere of spruce wood, supported by an interior with soft shapes and enveloping light, the incredible scenography reveals three universes: The farm & the milk producer, The fruit maker & the cheesemaker, The cellar & the master refiner. A bit as if the farmer from the Jura massif, the cheesemaker and the cellar master were taking you by the hand to take you into their world!

Smell the smell of hay in the stable, admire the flowery meadows, test the art of milking and experience the magic of milk becoming cheese. Listen again to the sound of the probe ringing the grindstone...

Lulled by this flow of sensations, it will be time to move on to the final stage of the adventure: the Comté tasting.

This takes place at the end of the visit, in a large glass room with a view of the wooded park. Gourmet, friendly, it makes you want to go on County Roads to the meeting farms, fruit trees et maturing cellars of the region.

For all County lovers! The ticket includes: 1 self-guided tour + tasting of 2 Comtés
