In a wild valley of the Jura, a thousand miles from Italy, immerse yourself in the art of living of Venetian palaces of the Renaissance through this 19th century villa, vibrant tribute to the master Andréa Palladio.
The story begins in 1825, when Jean-Emmanuel Jobez took over the reins of the steel industry left by his father. Usually, the owner invests in the traditional residence of the forge masters. But Jean-Emmanuel decided to do otherwise... He built a villa from scratch, but with a precise idea in mind. He entrusted his project to the architect Champonnois l'Ainé to whom he gave very precise instructions on the inspiration to follow.
This is how the Villa Palladian emerged from the ground, a few years later, taking its name from the eponymous architectural style.
The villa is open from April 15 to October 30, 2024 from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday.
