The Piards et PRENOVEL depended on the parish of Grandvaux.
The difficulty of the roads made communications difficult to attend services.
In 1484, the Archbishop of Besançon authorized the erection of a chapel in Les Piards and even a cemetery.
It was built the same year and dedicated to Saint Rémy, archbishop of Reims. A presbytery was erected shortly after.
A reliquary, containing various bones of Saint Rémy and other Saints, was given to the Piards chapel. Pope Leo
The building consists of a porch, a nave, a rectangular sanctuary lit by an ogival window, and a sacristy
Free visit to the Chapel every Friday evening in July/August, meeting at 18 p.m. on site.
