Hiking or mountain biking with arrival and departure possible by public transport : by train or bus, to Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux.
For each night, we recommend that you book your accommodation in advance.

1 Day:
Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux / Lake of the Red Trout or Foncine-le-Bas
About 7 km
Previous night possible at Leonie Farm, at the guest house The Pause ô Logis or the family Le Champ de Mars campsite.
At Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux station, go back up through the town and head NE.
You will borrow a part of the roaming "Zed Jura", which allows you to discover the old tram route - a railway line in service until the middle of the 20th century and now a passable path ideal for hiking.
At the end of the day, discover the thematic trail around the Lake and peat bog of Lac-des-Rouges-Truites, before regaining strength at La Favière campsite, au Domaine du Bugnon or toThe Marandon hotel-restaurant.
2 Day:
Red Trout Lake / Chaux Bridge
About 14 km
This second day will be hillier than the first, and a little longer.
The route continues on the old tram line, to Foncine-le-bas before returning to the impressive Langouette Gorges in the village of Planches-en-Montagne.
Through the forests and paths, find the hamlet of Pont de la Chaux, or the Line of Swallows, a daily SNCF line, will allow you to find the starting point. (Remember to check the timetables!)
