Depending on the seasons, this walk takes you through flowery hay meadows in summer, snowfields in winter where traces of wildlife can be seen, and into the heart of light spruce forests and the taiga landscape. of the bog.
From the belvederes, broad perspectives open onto the valley and its winding waterways, while to the east, the peaks of the Haute-Chaîne du Jura highlight the horizon.
Itinerary:
From PRENOVEL, take the road (yellow markings) bypassing the holiday center towards Champs de la Vie.
- Carefully cross the departmental road, then via the Champs de la Vie, go to the Pont de l'Arête.
- Follow the forest road on the left until La Faicle. Climb a slightly steep slope on the left to the BELVEDERE DU DUCHET.
- The path goes down to the right to Bois du Duchet. At the intersection, the path descends quickly towards Sous Duchet.
- Continue to the right along the grassy path, dominant and parallel to the stream. Pass Le cotat Bossu and join LA TOURBIERE. Below on the right, take the path developed to discover this specific natural environment.
- At the crossroads of Biefs, continue the path on your right, cross the stream and reach Le Pontet, at the departmental road. Cross this with caution and follow it for 140 m before climbing a well-marked steep path in the forest punctuated by BELVEDERE SUR LE FORT. Turn around, join Le Pontet, to head to PRENOVEL DE BISE via the hamlet of 'Fish bone.
- Cross the departmental road again to take a white path through the pastures to the entrance to the hamlet of Belbenoits. Go back down on your left until you reach La Passerelle. Continue on the white path parallel to the Nanchez reach, passing by Le Pont des Janiers.
- At La Vigne, go back to the starting point via the municipal road.
Recommendations:
This route crosses pastures with livestock. Also for the respect of the owners and operators who authorize you to pass, to avoid crushing the hay, for the tranquility of livestock and wildlife, you are invited to stay on the marked trails. Use the passages provided to cross the fences and make sure to close the barriers.
Please keep your dog on a leash if you have one.
In the bog and surrounding meadows the wildflowers are beautiful, they can be rare and protected and often fade quickly. Don't pick them! They will delight future hikers.
In the event of forestry work (felling, skidding, etc.), for your safety, know how to give up and turn around.
On the developed part of the peat bog (platform), between THE BOG et Le Pontet, for the well-being of all and respect for this particular environment, a few additional rules:
