The Source - Saint Laurent
From SAINT-LAURENT CENTER, go up the village along the Geneva road to the roundabout and Saint-Laurent - le Crêt (yellow markings).
- The route crosses the parking lot and accesses the pasture. It turns right and climbs the grassy slope along camping. Continue in the pasture until the road (old tram track) which you will follow until at the Maisonettes.
- The path goes up to the right and passes under the tunnel the railway. Continue your way through the pasture untilto the Stones. Cross the road and continue along the path at the bottom of the valley which joins In Fouradon and The dividers.
- The forest track goes to the right, to pass the source (metal tray).
- At a crossroads, the track goes left towards the Jeannez, then to the entrance of the hamlet.
- Then take the road opposite towards the Poncets , below the D437. The path obliques to the right and continues to Salave de Vent via rue du Vieux Chalet (former cheese dairy on the left recognizable by the small loophole windows on the facade to the north). Find the D 437 which you follow to the right for 20 m.
- Turn right to cross the hamlet. Then a wide path runs alongside a housing estate and comes out at the Egg Path.
- Rue du Vatican joins the D 678 to cross the level crossing. Turn immediately right towards the station. Return to the village center via rue Rouget de Lisle.
This route crosses privately owned pastures with livestock, and follows forest paths. Also for the respect of the owners and operators who authorize you to pass, for the peace of livestock and wildlife, you are invited to stay on the marked trails. Use the passages provided to cross the fences and make sure to close the barriers. Finally, please keep your dog on a leash if you have one.
Wildflowers are beautiful, they can be rare and protected and often wilt quickly. Don't pick them! They will delight future hikers.
In the event of forestry work (felling, skidding, etc.), for your safety, know how to give up and turn around.
