Lac des Rouges-Truites and Lac à la Dame

Recommended parking: Domaine du Bugnon Departure : Domaine du Bugnon, 163 les Thévenins Difficulty : Difficult Directions to follow: From the LE BUGNON post, take the forest road on the lake side to La Fontaine aux Cernois then Sous le Mont Noir.
Turn left on the tarmac road to reach the “Le Maréchet” post.

> Tour of Lac des Rouges-Truites (short variant: very easy level, 6 km, 2 hours): take the stone track on the left (old tram track). It runs along the stream, the lake and the peat bogs. Take the D 437 on the left for 170 m and find “La Gare”. On the right, reach the car park.

Go slightly right on the path and stay on the old tram track, less visible for 200 m in order to cross the D 437. Continue on the municipal road opposite.

It curves to the right. At the milestone, go up the path on the left in the meadow towards the LE CRET PELÉ summit. Continue towards the north, cross the passage in the edge, go down the Côte des Genissets through the pastures until you find the RD 62.
Take this, pass the Les Genissets post then in the bend, continue along the path opposite.

At the “Les Fumey” post, turn left, cut the D 62, continue along the road. It crosses the hamlet.

Continue along the road which goes around Lac à la Dame. After 1,7 km, at the exit of the hamlet, turn right onto the path lined with hedges and reach Les Monnets. Take the rue maisonnée on the left, then turn left and go down towards Les Voigneurs. 100 m further, turn off onto the path which goes up to the right.

At La Corne, follow the ridge line to the right (view of the two valleys). Above the reservoir, a milestone marks the entry into the Crêts woods. Continue on the ridge and arrive at the Le Crêt post.

Take the road on the left to reach the Town Hall crossroads, go down rue des Thévenins to La Gare.

Continue straight until reaching LE BUGNON.
